  5. This file is a collection of text designed to help today's computer Desktop
  6. Publisher. Much of the force behind this compilation is the Bitnet listserv
  7. PAGEMAKR. For more information on joining the list, please read the FAQ.FAQ
  8. file or contact me directly. Also FAQ stands for "Frequently Asked Questions".

  10. The following is a list of the various files included in this .ZIP file:

  12.     ALDUSFAQ.TXT  Aldus' own FAQ for PageMaker (nowhere near as good as
  13.                   ours ;)
  14.     BOOKS.FAQ     This file contains a list of recommended books and
  15.                   magazines for Desktop Publishers.
  16.     BOOKS2.FAQ    This file contains a list of PageMaker-related books
  17.                   that comes from the CompuServe Aldus Forum
  18.  *  DEFAULTS.FAQ  This article describes the concept of setting defaults
  19.                   for PageMaker.
  20.     DTPEVNTS.TXT  Upcoming (and recently past) DTP events
  21.  *  DTPTIPS.FAQ   The file has a number of suggestions and tips for
  22.                   Desktop Publishing in general.
  23.  *  FAQ.FAQ       This file is a comprehensize list of the most Frequently
  24.                   Asked Questions concerning PageMaker.
  25.     GLOSSARY.FAQ  Henry Budgett's massive glossary of DTP related terms
  26.     MISC.FAQ      This text file contains various interesting postings
  27.                   from the PageMaker list. This includes some short, fun
  28.                   postscript "programs" and information on Applelink.
  29.     PM5_DESC.TXT  Description of PageMaker 5.0
  30.     PM5A_INF.TXT  Description of PageMaker 5.0a patch version
  31.  *  PM5PRINT.FAQ  A FAQ on printing problems associated with PageMaker 5.0.
  32.  *  PMTIPS.FAQ    Within this file is a list of tips for PageMaker users,
  33.                   including an extensive list of documented and undocumented
  34.                   keyboard shortcuts and assists.
  35.  *  SCANTIPS.FAQ  This excellent document created by Jeff Bone describes
  36.                   the ins and outs of scanning. Highly Recommended!
  37.     SCANTIP2.FAQ  Misc. stuff concerning the Scanning FAQ
  38.     STATS.TXT     This gives a general overview of the various responses 
  39.                   given to the survey form.
  40.     SURVEY.TXT    A survey form -- used to compile the WHOSWHO.TXT file.
  41.     SYLLABUS.FAQ  A sample syllabus for teaching PageMaker.
  42.     WHOSWHO.TXT   A Who's Who list of the members of the PageMaker List.
  43.                   This is meant for "desktop publishers community" purposes;
  44.                   please respect the privacy of the matter contained within.
